About Department of Pharmacology

Since the inception of Jorhat Medical College & Hospital, the Department of Pharmacology has been significantly contributing to the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research. The department is also contributing to various patient safety services by regular prescription audit exercises and adverse drug reactions monitoring and reporting under the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI). Various research works that have done by the department were related to the fields of clinical pharmacology, pre-clinical/experimental pharmacology, KAP studies, ethnopharmacology etc.
