On the 4th of October 2024, the Department of Community Medicine, Jorhat Medical College along with the Phase III, Part I MBBS Students carried out an IEC campaign on "Promotion of Healthy lifestyle" under the Family Adoption Programme among the residents of their adopted families. The students made posters as communication tool for IEC keeping in mind the health needs of their adopted families.
During the campaign the residents were appraised about the importance of healthy lifestyle including food and nutrition, meditation, yoga, physical exercise, personal hygiene, menstrual hygiene, non communicable disease awareness, prevention and control etc through posters which were later gifted to the members of the adopted families. A few selected posters were awarded to encourage the efforts of the students.
