a.      Imparted training of facility based integrated management of neonatal and childhood illness in three batches to medical officers of Jorhat Sonitpur Golaghat Karbi Anglong districts during Feb-March 2017 by – Dr Amarjit Borgohain, Dr Hiyeswar Borah, Dr Netri Das

b.     Undergone training programm on revised basic medical education by MEU, MCH in collaboration with CMC Ludhiana (10,11,12 may 2017) by Dr Netri Das and Dr Anuja Baruah

c.      World breastfeeding week observed 1-7^th Aug16. Painting, quiz, debate and awareness program.

d.     World AIDS day, Dec 2016. Street play, slogan writing, poster competition, blood donation camp, CME.

e.      Dr Anoop Dev, guest lecture of world AIDS day awareness programm at Majuli district Assam.

f.      World health day, April 7. 2017. Quiz, video competition in you tube, health camp at tea garden (velaguri garden), banner and poster competition.

g.     Prof. (Dr.) Bishnu Ram Das participated as Speaker in the CME organized on the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week 2016 by Dept. of Community Medicine, Jorhat Medical College, Jorhat held on 6^th August, 2016

h.     Professional services offered By Dr. Bishnu Ram Das, Dr. Anoop Dev as district coordinator in Routine Immunization and RMNCH+A supportive supervision in Golaghat district.

i.       The department has completed the health system research project on “Effective Vaccine Management” (EVM) under DME in collaboration with UNICEF.

j.       Dr. Anuja Baruah, Assistant Professor participated as Jury member, All Assam First Aid Training Programme at ONGC Sivasagar.on 25^th April, 2016.

k.     Dr. Anuja Baruah, Assistant Professor was External Examiner for B. Sc. (Community Health) at Medical Institute Jorhat on13^th July, 2016.

l.       Dr Madhur Borah, Dr Rana Kakati, Demonstrators, attended 3rd North East Zonal Conference of IAPSM held in Gauhati Medical College Guwahati on 22^nd and 23^rd October 2016.

m.   Mrs. Anuradha Hazarika Medhi, Statistician presented a research paper titled “Admission profile of patients attending a tertiary care Hospital and the outcomes” in the Second North East Zonal Conference of IAPSM held on the 16^th  October , 2015 organized by the dept. of  community Medicine , North eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong.

     ii.          Conducted CME on the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week on 6^th August, 2016

d. Other activities:-

       i.          Organized World Health Day Quiz at JMC under the banner of IAPSM with Elimination Round on 5^th April, 2016 and Final Quiz on 7^th April, 2016.

     ii.          Organized World Breast Feeding week form 1^st -7^th August at JMC with technical support from BPNI, India and received certificate of participation from World Breast Feeding Association (WABA), Penang, Malaysia.

   iii.          Mrs. Anuradha Hazarika Medhi, Statistician presented a research paper titled “Admission profile of patients attending a tertiary care Hospital and the outcomes” in the Second North East Zonal Conference of IAPSM held on the 16th  October , 2015 organized by the dept. of  Community Medicine , North eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong.

Sarkar and Dr.P.Tamuli, participated in “Strengthing of Effective Vaccine Management and Routine Immunization/VHND programme/Routine Immunization& RMNCH+A  Supportive Supervision project through Medical Colleges” under the DME, Assam in support with UNICF, Assam from September 2015 to August 2016.

c.      The Community Medicine department commemorated World Health Day, 2016 and organized a Quiz competition on the theme “Beat Diabetes” among Undergraduate Students of Jorhat Medical College on 5th April 2016 (Elimination Round) & 7th April 2016 (Final Quiz)

d.      The World Breastfeeding Week, 2016 was celebrated with weeklong activities like Poster & Debate competitions, Seminar, CME, Community awareness programs etc from 1^Ist to 7^th September,2016.

e.      Dr. AnujaBaruah, Assistant Professor participated as Evaluator of Projects in State level National Chldren’s Science Congress held at JawaharNavodayaVidyalaya from29^th to 31^st October, 2015.

f.      Dr. Anuja Baruah, Assistant Professor participated as Jury member, All Assam First Aid Training Programme at ONGC Sivasagar.on 25^th April, 2016.

g.     Dr. Anuja Baruah, Assistant Professor participated as Resource Person for Teachers Orientation Workshop, National Children’s Science Congress on 6^th May, 2016.

h.     Dr. Syeda Jesmin Rahman facilitated as Guide to a 7th semester student for the submission of research paper for Short Term Studentship 2016.

i.       Dr Lutfur Rahman PGT participated in a health camp in flood affected area of Majuli, Jorhat on 7th August, 2016 organised by All Jorhat District Student Union (AJDSU).

j.       Dr Sadique Ahmed PGT participated in a free health camp for flood affected victims organised by Jorhat Medical College under Society for Medical Education Jorhat held in Dakhin Ahatguri of Majuli district on 13^TH August. 2016.

k.     Dr Mohd Asif, PGT participated in a free health camp for Flood affected victims  organised by NICCA, NGO on 28^th August 2016 at Majuli, Jorhat.

                 i.          Prof. (Dr) Bishnu Ram Das, participated in the first contact Session of the MCI Fellowship in Medical Education (FIME) held from 1-5th September, 2015 at MCI Nodal Centre for Faculty Development, CMC, Ludhiana.

               ii.          Dr. Anuja Baruah participated as Faculty Participant in Humanities Workshop from 10th to 12th September, at JMC, Jorhat, 2015.

             iii.          Mrs. Anuradha Hazarika Medhi, Statistician participated in the pre-conference workshop and attended Second North East Zonal Conference of IAPSM held from 15th to 17th October, 2015 at NEIGRIHMS, Shillong.

             iv.          Dr. Abu Hasan Sarkar, Dr. GunjanNath, Dr. Mahidul Islam, Dr. Pankaj Kr Sahu, Dr. Parash Jyoti Bora attended the IAPSM 2nd  North East Zonal conference at NEIGRIHMS, Shillong; (Pre Conference Work-shop on 15th Oct,2015; Conference proper on 16-17 Oct,15) and also presented Oral Paper.
