MCI guidelines for preparing the class routine :
The total duration of 1st and 2nd Semesters will be approximately 240 teaching days i.e. 240/6=40 weeks
Each semester will be of 20 weeks duration
Allotment of hours: For Community Medicine= 60 hours
50 % of the remaining hours will be allotted to Anatomy
And of the other 50% hours- 2/3rd will be allotted to Physiology and 1/3rd will be allotted to Biochemistry
Total duration for Anatomy = 650 hours Total duration for Physiology = 480 hours Total duration for Biochemistry = 240 hours
The duration for theory classes should be less than 50% of the total duration
From the above routine :
Anatomy will get total duration of : 780 hours
Physiology will get total duration of: 520 hours
Biochemistry will get total duration of: 260 hours Community Medicine will get total duration of: 60 hours
