Academic achievements :
In 2019, the department, along with active participation of the Jorhat City branch of ISA, conducted the 31st ISACON Assam which comprised of seminars, workshops, hands on trainings by eminent guest faculties from all over the world. PG trainees of the department took active participation in poster & paper presentations.
COVID WARRIORS: Since the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic, the faculties, senior residents, post graduate trainees, technicians of the department are fighting selflessly, bravely, tirelessly round the clock to provide the best management to the patients. Many COVID patients with least hope of survival could also be brought back to life with the continuous efforts of the doctors & staffs of the department. Every bed in ICUs (both COVID & non-COVID) are equipped dedicatedly with one mechanical ventilator for invasive ventilation, one NIV (BiPAP, CPAP), high flow nasal cannula device.
