(i). “ASSESSMENT AND EHANCEMENT OF AWARENESS ON NON- TUBERCULOSIS MYCOBACTERIUM (NTM) AND PARAGONIMIASIS IN NORTH EAST INDIA – A project Approved by DBT (Govt. of India); New –Delhi

ii). “Genomic Target based chemical ligand profiling using natural products for identification of potential drugs for Mycobacterium tuberculosis therapy. A research project in Collaboration with NEIST, being undertaken at the department.

iii). “Concomitant Fungal Infections in Patients of Pulmonary Tuberculosis attending Respiratory Medicine OPD at Jorhat Medical College and Hospital”- an ICMR approved Project under STS done by BHAKHITA DEKA 7^th Semester MBBS (JMCH), Reference ID 2017- 01536. Guide – Prof.M.K.GOSWAMI and Dr. (Mrs) Purnima Boruah.

1. Attended Zonal Task Force (NEZ) meeting of RNTCP related activities at Medical Colleges Held at Guwahati, on 8 -11-2016.
2. Delivered a guest lecture on “ Genexpert Test – challenge to the Gold Standard of Diagnosis of TB” at the state annual conference of A.P.I Assam state Chapter held at Kaziranga on December, 13^th and 14^th 2016 .
3. Acted as resource person in the UGC sponsored orientation course for the college teacher held at academic staff college, Gauhati University as “Health problems of India with special fours on hygiene Education on 04 /04 /2017”.
4. Case finding and Outcome of TB Patient TB Patient under Jorhat Medical College DMC

             During this period   of 2016-2017 the referral of TB Suspects for Sputum Examination.

BRIEF BIODATA of  DR. MIHIR KUMAR GOSWAMIV                                                                                      

M.B.B.S.: 1984 and M.D (General Medicine) in 1989, attained PhD in Medical Science (First Doctored Degree holder in Assam in medical science) and  Joined as Faculty in Medical Colleges of Assam in 1990 and presently working as Prof. & H.O.D. (Respiratory Medicine) at Jorhat Medical College Hospital (Jorhat). He started writing in creative and health related topics since 1992 to increase awareness in health and gender related issues amongst general population. Besides a large number of poems, novellets and stories focusing on the above mentioned topics and also on medical community (doctors and P.M. Staff including nurses). Till now authored more than 20books and published around 1000 articles. A regular columnist in sadin (House of Pritidin a publication), Janambhumi (Janabhumi Publications – one of the oldest in N.E. India) and Janasadharan. Also chairperson of JEEPAL annual MOUTHPIECE of Jorhat Medical College Hospital. He translated 2 (two) books authorized by N.B.T. (National Book Trust). Recently one of his Sci-fi stories have been included in the anthology of Assamese Sci-fi  stories  published by Sahitya Academy, an organization of MHRD (Govt. of India, )New Delhi.
